And, who is !SYOU? "Put simply, !SYOU is a new way to think about sneaker design. A fresh sneaker concept mixing on-the-edge design, high quality materials and (we think) a damn "good" idea."

The finalists:

The final round on the May 12th during Creative Amsterdam 2011 in Pakhuis de Zwijger. During the Speakers Dinner the audience will give their vote. The Award ceremony will take place on the morning of May 13, 2011.

About the Creative Amsterdam 2011
It may sound like a generic word to describe a place, but Amsterdam epitomizes what Merriam-Webster's dictionary defines as "too extraordinary and improbable to be believed." Likewise for the 2011 participants, we searched for extraordinary participants who want to take their initiative abroad. And we found them! Check out the organizations below this page.

The Creative Amsterdam Award rewards one creative organisation (profit and non profit) who has an excellent combination of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. The contribution can be a new product, innovation of a process or a new way of working.

Three categories have been defined:
1. Media & Entertainment
2. Creative business consultancy
3. Art & Culture

Per category two finalists will be chosen to pitch at the event Creative Amsterdam 2011. The 2011 winner will receive a great prize and the category winners a recognition prize.

First Prize and recognition
The first prize (worth €25.000) is a whole team of experts from different backgrounds and disciplines. You can think of experts helping you with designing, business support and legal advice. You will also have personal conversations and meetings with leading people from the business world and creative industry. Next, you will receive a gift voucher for an international trade mission by choice.

Conditions
- All entries need to be in English.
- Contest is open for (experienced) entrepreneurs.
- You don’t have to be a participant of Creative Amsterdam 2011 to join the Creative Amsterdam Award.
- You can choose to turn in a plan together with others. When this is the case, you have to invite your team members to join you.
- Your concept can be seen as a stand-alone service, product or company.
- Concepts turned in after the deadline will not be taken into consideration.
- After the selection is made, no further discussion should be allowed.

Confidentiality
Everybody involved in the Creative Amsterdam Award has signed a Non Disclosure Agreement. This means the organization cannot exploit your plans for own use. Concepts and Business plans are not published in total on forums or in the media. It is important to realise that your contribution will be made public during the final round. Also there will be media attention for the Creative Amsterdam 2011 Conference.

Background
The goal of the initiators ABN AMRO Dialogues Incubator, Creative Cities Amsterdam Area (CCAA) with this price, is to stimulate Dutch creative business on an international level.
