Corien is Chief Designer Colour & Material Strategic Design for Volvo Cars. As an industrial designer she influences the way the Swedish carmakers’ vehicles appear. Helping shape metal, plastics and other materials to communicate and achieve just the right appearance, selecting colours and textiles unique to Volvo -- and each model. For Corien design is about exploring and discovering life in all its colourful facets, the chance to set free her inspiration to sculpture desire.

My big idea:
Facing the future, talking about sustainability etc. You have to support and let the responsability to those who will live in this environment. I love the fresh view of students, other upcoming creatives and other kind of intelligence.
Therefor I initiated MO>E, a contest and portal for students supported by Donna e Mobile- an automotive woman designers network since 1990 - where students will be seen and guided by the entire automotive world and get the possibility to win an internship at a worldwide respected design department like Ford, Volvo, BMW, Mercedes etc.

Next to this, privately, I initiated the stichting TTe Co to support people with a good idea or small projects in connection with culture, education or inspiration. The (micro) support is given in time and expertise- by a group of young professionals representing the society.
