1. Registration

How to register
1. Click on Register, fill in your name, email address and a password.
2. Activate your account via de link in the confirmation e-mail.
3. Log in and get going!

Get going!
1. Create your personal profile. You can change or update your profile at any time. Use the upload button (camera icon) to add photographs.
2. After having created your profile, you can also create a company or organisation profile. To do so, simply click on the ‘New Contribution’ (Add) button on the grey toolbar. Next click on 'Organisation'.
3. You can now add different items: events, projects, websites, articles and news items.
4. By entering keywords, you can make it easier for other users to find your contributions (items) on the portal (e.g. your city or professional discipline).
5. Use the ‘Update’, ‘Fan of’ and ‘Contact’ buttons to create new connection. All new connections will automatically be displayed on your profile.

Tools

  • Once you have logged in, you will be able to see a tool bar above the main menu. The tool bar has the following buttons: ‘Your contributions’, ‘New contributions’, ‘Your messages’, ‘Invite a friend’, ‘Your contacts’, and ‘Preferences’.
  • Click on 'Preferences’ to change or update your personal settings: change your email address, your password, set your authorizations, arrange your intellectual rights with Creative Commons, language preference and settings (visible / not visible, match / don’t match).

2. Create a new item

To create a new item, click ‘New Contribution’ in the menu. Next choose one of the following five options:

  • Event (to create a new event in the agenda)
  • Organisation
  • Project
  • Website
  • Article

How to create an Event
1. Click on '+ event'
2. Enter the title of the event and click 'add'.
3. Enter a short introduction (+introduction)
4. Enter the body of the text by clicking (+body)
5. Select a number of keywords that are related to your event under 'select keywords'. Your contributions will be easier to find and understood with the use of keywords.
6. Select a location or organiser in the menu (+location / +organiser). This will activate a calendar.
7. Enter the date of the event in the calendar. NB: If you fail to enter a date in the calendar, the item will NOT be displayed in the agenda on the portal!
8. Select one or more images:

  • Click on the top camera icon (for the first image), and use the ‘browse’ option to find an image on your computer. Click on the image on your computer. Next, click on ‘add’.
  • You can create and change the title associated with the image.

Finally, click on ‘Save page’ (top left)

Create an organisation
1. Click on '+ organisation'
2. Enter a title and click on “add”.
3. Enter a subtitle (if applicable) (+ subtitle)
4. Enter a short introduction (+ short intro)
5. All remaining text is entered in the body ( +body)
6. Enter your Contact information:

  • Enter the organisation’s email address (+ email)
  • Enter the URL for the website: make sure to write the URL in full, e.g. www.ccaa.nl

7. Select keywords related to the organisation under 'select keywords'. It is easier to find and understand contributions with the use of keywords.
8 Select one or more images:

  • Click on top camera icon (for the first image), use the browse option to find the image on your computer. Click on the image and then click ‘add’.
  • The title of the image remains visible when you hover the cursor over the image. The title can be filled in and changed under the image.

Finally, click on ‘Save page’ (top left)

Create a project
1. Click on '+ project'
2. Enter the title of the project and click on 'add'.
3. Enter a short introduction (+ short intro)
4. All remaining text is entered in the body ( +body)
5. Select keywords related to the organisation under 'select keywords'. It is easier to find and understand contributions with the use of keywords.
6. You can also opt to enter an author, a document or an owner in the menu at the top of the page.
7. Select one or more images:

  • Click on top camera icon (for the first image), use the browse option to find the image on your computer. Click on the image and then click ‘add’.
  • The title of the image remains visible when you hover the cursor over the image. The title can be filled in and changed under the image.

Finally, click on ‘Save page’ (top left)

Create a website
1. Click on '+ website'
2. Enter a title and click on 'add'.
3. Select keywords related to the vacancy under 'select keywords'. It is easier to find and understand contributions with the use of keywords.
4. It is also possible to enter the name of the author and the name of the publisher in the menu at the top.
5. Select one or more images:

  • Click on top camera icon (for the first image), use the browse option to find the image on your computer. Click on the image and then click ‘add’.
  • The title of the image remains visible when you hover the cursor over the image. The title can be filled in and changed under the image.

Finally, click on ‘Save page’ (top left)

Create an article
1. Click on '+ article'
2. Enter the title of the article and click on 'add'.
3. Enter a subtitle if applicable
4. Enter a short introduction (+ short intro)
5. All remaining text is entered in the body ( +body)
6. Select keywords related to the article under 'select keywords'. It is easier to find and understand contributions with the use of keywords.
7. It is also possible to enter the name of the author, an actor or a document in the menu at the top.
8. Select one or more images:

  • Click on top camera icon (for the first image), use the browse option to find the image on your computer. Click on the image and then click ‘add’.
  • The title of the image remains visible when you hover the cursor over the image. The title can be filled in and changed under the image.

Finally, click on ‘Save page’ (top left)

3. Edit existing items

You can edit existing items as follows:
1. Go to 'Your contribution' in the top menu and click on 'Edit'. Don’t forget to save the changes.
2. Or enter (part of) the title in the search menu. Next, select and edit the desired document.

4. Adding images

  • Click on 'edit' the page. This will open the editing page with a number of ‘camera’ icons.
  • Click on a camera icon (usually the top icon) and, next, use the browse option to find the image on your computer. Click on the image and then click ‘add’. Click on 'more options' if you wish to use images from the Internet or from the website. You can ‘drag and drop’ the images to move them around or change their order on the page.
  • The title of the image remains visible when you hover the cursor over the image. The title can be filled in and changed under the image.
  • Next, click on ‘Save’ to save the changes and to display the results. Simply double-click on the image if you want to add the name of the ‘author’ (maker) or an actor (the person depicted in the photograph). Next enter your keywords.

5. Text formatting

Italics and bold

  • //italic// is italic print (slanted text)
  • **bold** is bold print (thick)
  • **//bold italic//** is bold italic print

Summaries
Summaries can be represented as follows:

Bullets are indicated with an * or ‘asterisk’:

are displayed as:

6. Links

External links

  • If you type in the full URL, e.g., http://www.ccaa.nl the system will automatically display www.ccaa.nl.
  • To assign a title to the link, type in: [http://www.ccaa.nl CCAA]. The word following the space, in this case CCAA, will then be displayed on its own as the title. CCAA
  • [mailto:info@ccaa.nl Mail CCAA] ] is displayed as and as such is invisible to spam bots.

Internal links

  • To create a link to a specific location in a document, all you need to do is follow these two steps:

Step 1: Insert the following code at the location from which you wish to refer: ((|lists and summaries#lists)). This will be displayed as follows on the page: lists and summaries.
Step 2: Insert the following code on the line above the specific location that you wish to refer to: [[# lists]].
